RESEARCH REQUESTS

Patrons are encouraged to visit the collection in person. For out-of-towners who are unable to visit Galveston, History Center staff will provide limited reference service for a fee.

Charges include:

Obituary when date of death is known: $5.00. Please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

Research up to 30 minutes: $10.00.

A list of private researchers will be provided for those needing more extensive services of 31 minutes of research time or more. The Galveston and Texas History Center does not sponsor nor guarantee the work of the individuals. We provide their names as a service to our patrons who are in need of additional help with historical, genealogical, and/or local history research.
